review from the nme :

"Speaking of whom, look what's magically leapt to the top of the singles pile! A funny one, this. Not entirely as superb as their recent 'Holy Smoke' release, but further proof that the fringe-dwelling Magoo plan to continue in their efforts to befuddle and bemuse with their blatant disregard for the rules and regulations of single selection. We know they have more immediate songs because we've seen them live, and we know they can sound like Guided By Voices, because we've listened to the B-sides. 'Swiss Border Escape', meanwhile, goes, "Ooh bop bop Ooh" over and over in a resolutely tuneful manner, but fails to be catchy until the umpteenth listen. Then you can't put the damn thing away."
