review from the nme :

"More stumpy, violent jams from East Anglia's answer to something, well, rather stumpy and violent. Magoo are maddeningly, scrambled sorts putting way too much energy into such a small record. Picture the Boo Radleys having a fight. With themselves. Then consider the more daring edge of, say, Delicatessen's kitchen knife, because 'Robot Carnival' is massacred pop in excelsis, careering from the tried 'n' tested to warped and twisted and howling like a dog in a spin drier. (NB : don't try this as home kids. Do it at the laundrette.) In short, a thoroughly commendable crash-course in artrock without the self-concious wankery. Brilliant."
