review from playlouder.com :
"Surprisingly fine week for geetars, come to think of it, especially given that most of the really ace records our stereo's been tightening those buns to of late have been reasonably electronic (Squarepusher, Felix Da Housecat, Universal Indicator et al...) and it's also faintly surprising what a burly, swirly heavyweight of a comeback single Norwichian Peel faves Magoo - now on Global Warming - have produced in the form of 'East Polar Opposite Can Dream'. Imagine, if you will, that someone had snapped the tuner off your radio just as it got between stations that were playing Television circa '75 and (is this their first mention ever on PlayLouder? Larks! We do believe it is...) Simple Minds circa '82 and you're just about there. Twingly, roaring and curiously important-sounding, this is a record we never expected to hear, and all the better for it."
